Donor Profile: Krista Mills Builds a Legacy via Endow Kentucky Tax Credits
“Wellspring’s mission to help people recover from mental illness by providing housing, medical services, and counseling is important to me,” shares Krista Mills. When Krista read about the Endow Kentucky Tax Credit Program in Wellspring’s newsletter, she decided to take advantage of this tax-wise opportunity. A quick call to the Community Foundation of Louisville got the process going for her. “With their assistance, it was an easy goal to accomplish,” says Krista. “By donating through Endow Kentucky, I am honoring members of my family who have endured and recovered from debilitating depression and substance abuse because organizations like Wellspring helped them. This endowment gift ensures that Wellspring will be able to help vulnerable women and men long into the future and thereby also give peace to the people who love them and want them to live the best life possible.”

The Endow Kentucky Tax Credit program offers a way to transform our community and meet donors’ personal charitable goals – and it is available to anyone who resides in Kentucky and pays state taxes. “Just contact the Community Foundation of Louisville,” encourages Krista. “I’m so glad I did!”
